Service 22 is an inter-town route connecting residential towns of Ang Mo Kio, Serangoon, Bedok Reservoir and Tampines via the industrial estates of Ubi and Tai Seng. By serving Tampines Avenue 4, this service also benefits residents of Tampines Neighborhoods 8 and 9.
Owing to strong demand along its industrial and inter-town segments, double-deck buses comprise the bulk of the fleet. The route closely follows Service 24 between Ang Mo Kio and MacPherson, and also compliments Service 21 for connecting the full stretch of Bedok Reservoir Road to Tampines Regional Centre.
Fare: Charges fares for regular trunk services. See Bus Fares for exact fares.
Fleet: Service 22′s fleet comprises a majority of Volvo B9TL buses, with smaller numbers of Volvo Olympian and Scania K230UB buses. Additional Volvo B9TL buses were added under the BSEP scheme.
