Route History

Service 103 serves both residential developments along Yio Chu Kang Road/Jln Kayu and various industries within Seletar Aerospace Park along its route. The route connects to Serangoon Town Centre, as well as the Jalan Kayu roundabout, where passengers can transfer to other bus routes plying the TPE/SLE corridor.

Currently, Service 103 is the only service to serve Seletar Airport and its aviation-based industries located in the vicinity, collectively known as Seletar Aerospace Park. The area also houses a small group of colonial bungalows which this route also serves.

In Jun 2015, Service 103 was extended to Yishun Temp Int under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP). This is the 41st bus service enhancement under the BSEP, as well as the 7th route extension. The extended route provides a new direct link between Yishun and Seletar Aerospace Park in which there was no connection between before the extension.

The amended route enhances connectivity between Yishun Central, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, SAFRA Yishun Country Club, Huamin Primary School and residential estates around Yishun. The new connection between Jalan Kayu and Yishun provides an alternative for commuters previously relying on Services 39 and 858 between these two points.

  • Jalan Kayu (Aft Seletar Camp G)  Serangoon Int

The route has been cleared for double decker bus deployment in the near future.

  1. I am so glad that now there is a bus that goes to Jalan Kayu , thank you SBS for this new BUS 103 . But the only problem seems to be the air – con of the bus it’s not working well or not in the right temperatures . Hope your mechanics can look into this .

  2. This bus is pack during evening time like peak period when going back from seletar aerospace to yishun. Why there is no double deck on service 103. Should bring this issue

  3. I love SBS transit 103 service from the very start. It cuts my time by half travelling to work everyday. Cleaner, and friendly drivers. I have being using this service everyday.
On 31st Jan 2016 at 1735hrs, setback. I took the service from Yio Chu kang as usual clean bus, friendly driver. The moment it drove off, my ears were pain. The sound of the bus engine was piercing my ears. I have to raise my voice to say excuse me to move in. The journey was about 35 minutes. If I have to raise my voice louder then normal, don’t you think it’s something wrong. I could be subjected to noise induce deafness. The public bus is meant to clean and safe. Is there no one to check on this? Bus service SBS 8680K.
