Route History

Service 182 is an industrial trunk route serving the many industries of Upper Jurong, Tuas and Tuas South with connections to Joo Koon MRT. Reaching far out into the developing Tuas South areas, it also passes by Tuas Bus Terminal, making it the fastest transport connection between Tuas Ter and Joo Koon Int.

During selected times of day, Service 182M will operate. Service 182M calls at Tuas Checkpoint on its return direction only, whereas Service 182 calls at Tuas Checkpoint in both directions.

Route Shortening to Joo Koon Bus Interchange

Route Poster for Service 182 / 182M shortening to Joo KoonAs part of the Joo Koon Bus Interchange opening and accompanying Jurong Industrial Estate route amendments, Phase 2 implementation (28 November 2015) shortens Service 182 and 182M to start from Joo Koon Bus Interchange, skipping existing sectors along Upper Jurong Road. At the same time, it will call at all stops along Tuas West Dr instead of plying express.

  1. After the completion of the Tuas West Extension, I think that this service with be shorten to Joo Koon Bus Interchange as along its way to Tuas Bus Terminal, it is the only service to serves Jln Ahmad Ibrahim.

  2. The new route of bus 182 is longer than the old one.
    It takes 44 mins to Tuas South from Boon Lay Mrt previously and takes the same from Joon Koon to there with new one. It means that additional time to take bus/Mrt from Boon Lay Mrt to Joon Koon Mrt with the new route.

  3. I stay just beside Pioneer MRT station and was wondering if it’s possible to do the following:

    1. Take MRT and alight at the next station i.e. Joo Koon MRT station;
    2. Transfer to SBS Transit Bus Service 182 from Joo Koon interchange;
    3. Alight at the bus stop outside Tuas checkpoint
    4. Clear Singapore customs at Tuas checkpoint and board any of the CW buses that go into Johor, M’sia via the 2nd Link.
    5. At the Malaysian side, clear M’sian customs, then take either CW3 or CW6 to AEON Bukit Indah for makan, watch movie, go to salon and spa…1 day of retail therapy….yeah!!!

    Anyone tried taking bus 182 to Tuas checkpoint and then proceed t o S’pore customs?
