Route History

Service 965 is an inter-town route serving between the housing estates of Woodlands, Yishun and Sengkang. The route is frequented as a fast connection between Yishun and Sengkang due to its express sector along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) and Tampines Expressway (TPE). As such, it benefits from moderate to high demand throughout the day.

High capacity double-deck buses buses are deployed on a regular basis. SMRT’s Alexander Dennis Enviro500 double-deck buses appeared on the route since Nov 2014.

Service 85 also plies between Sengkang and Yishun, but serves bus stops along Sengkang West and Jalan Kayu before travelling to Yishun. Between Woodlands and Sengkang, Service 161 offers the faster route by skipping Yishun town entirely. From 2243hrs onwards (daily), buses leaving Woodlands Regional Int will terminate at Sengkang Int but continue to operate as Service 965 (without other indications of its half-trip nature).

  1. On 26th jul, i waited for bus 965 at the busstop infront of Yishun mrt towards woodlands.I have waited from 1545hrs to 1615hrs for the busstop to turn up.what the hell is going on?It is unacceptable for the commuter to have waited for
30mins for the bus.Transport minister only know how to support bus fare hike, but the bus service is still lacking behind. What a world class bus service we have. This is not the first time that bus 965 are very inconsistent on the frequency.look into the bloody matter and see what can be done to ensure such thing will not happen again .bloody sucks service😠

  2. This bus service Super cannot make it.waited for 25 minutes for bus to come.already you know got more users you should raise the frequency.
Going to bring up with meet the people session..
Already lots of people wrote in but they boh chap!
