Route History

Intratown Service 912 serves residential blocks, schools and public amenities along Woodlands Ave 5, Woodlands Dr 50, Woodlands Ring Rd, Woodlands Ave 1 , Woodlands St 42 and Woodlands Centre Rd, connecting them to transport nodes at Woodlands Regional Centre, such as Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange & Woodlands MRT station. Its primary area of service is Woodlands Neighbourhood 6 & 8 on the East Loop, and Neighbourhood 3, 4 & Woodlands Centre on the West Loop. High capacity articulated buses are deployed on a daily basis due to high demand from residents in the area.

The route serves schools such as Woodlands Primary School, Woodlands Ring Secondary School, MINDS – Woodlands Gardens School, Si Ling Primary School, Fuchun Primary School, Fuchun Secondary School and Marsling Primary School. Other public amenities served include Woodlands Civic Centre, 888 Plaza, Woodlands Galaxy Community Centre (CC), Woodlands Town Garden and Woodlands Train Checkpoint.

Service 912 operates in two loops, where buses will first ply the East Loop (via Woodlands Ave 7) followed by the West Loop (via Woodlands Centre Rd), while calling at Woodlands Interchange between loops. Terminating trips will operate as Service 912E on the West Loop, indicating that the bus will terminate at Woodlands Int and no longer continue its journey on the East Loop.

There are two separate queue berths at Woodlands Interchange for Intratown 911; passengers should check their direction of travel before boarding the bus. During Eves of Public Holidays, last bus timings will be extended to complement the extension of train operating hours.

In 2014, a PPSS variant of this route, 912P, was introduced. It duplicates part of 912’s Checkpoint loop and operates during peak hours only.

  2. I find multiple times the frequency of the bus 912 is not etiquette specially at peak hours. I request the care taker officer to review the real utilization and need if there is a room for improvement.

  3. The services of bus 912 is getting worse,we have to wait half an hour or more for the bus to arrive and worse still, when they arrive it’s three bus at same time .I think the drivers intentionally just follow the bus which is in front and let him pick passengers and just move slowly behind,a ex bus driver told me about this practice. Smart should send under cover officers to check on them.

  4. The services of bus services 912 is getting worse when the bus finally arrived is usually three buses at the same time.I think the drivers intentionally would just follow the bus in front and let him pick up passengers, I was told this practice by a ex bus driver. SMRT should send under cover officers to check on this kind of drivers.

  5. On 20/3/16 I waited at bus stop no 46591 for abt 45 mins for bus 912 towards woodlands inter change but no bus was coming .Then abt 6 buses with few minutes apart was going in the other direction,it was very strange all these buses coming at one direction.I wonder how these buses are deployed. The time was 10 plus in the morning .

  6. I have been taking bus 912 for more than a decade. The bus services are getting from bad to worse. Be it from morning peak hours or night time. Waiting for a 912 bus for half an hour to 45 mins? Then come 3-4 912 buses at the same time? Please tell me this is a joke. I can see 6-7 161 or 901 buses pass by without seeing a single 912 bus. There is no problem with the frequency of long distance journey bus, and 912 is a neighborhood bus. Does the SMRT management not know how to deal with this?? Such a disappointment.

  7. Service 912 should not operates in two loops as the whole journey will take a long time. However it seems to be getting from bad to worse. While waiting for 912 at Admiralty MRT bus station, I counted a total of 9 buses of 903 passed by and none of 912 in sight. The entire platform / bus stop is covered with commuters waiting for bus 912. I have provided feedback to SMRT numerous time but seems like no improvement is made to resolve this issue. Waiting time can be up to 45mins!!!! I think this is really ridiculous.
