Jurong Island is an artificial island off the south coast of Jurong Port, created through land reclamation and the joining up of seven smaller islands. Today, it is home to many petrochemical industries, and access is limited to staff and visitors with valid security passes.

  1. I am currently facing a problem here. On Tuesday, after spending 45 minutes waiting at a bus stop right beside Exxon Mobil Refinery, the bus 717 arrived at 5.15pm to get us to Jurong East MRT station. Then, I assume the bus should come in every one hour. Hence, for the next time when I need to get to Jurong East station, I waited there at 4.10pm exactly, expecting the bus to arrive at 5 minutes later. However, the bus did not arrive and I had to flag for vans to send me out.
So, anyone here can help me out? I really need an updated bus schedule. Thanks yea.

  2. Hi

    to my understanding bus 717 leave Jurong east interchange at 11.45am , 2.50pm, 4.45pm, 5.30pm, 7.00pm, 7.45pm, 10.00pm. add 20min more to Exxon Mobil.

  3. It just doesnt comes. Lousiest transport svc ever.

Tried the 7.45pm bus that leave jurong east, waited at bus stop since 8.10pm didnt even came by at all.

Waited for next bus which leaves JE at 9pm. not even here yet at 9.55pm.

Despite the long waiting interval, bus will not stop for you once it leaves the bus stop. Even if you run after it.

Cabs dont even come in until you try booking for 1h.

  4. Bus came late today. Last Saturday, I have missed the bus, waited for another bus for more than half an hour. Probably because there is only one passenger, the driver refuses to pick me up though the scheduled time is up. He waved to me signalling me to wait. I waited for 15 mins but to no avail.

  5. Buses come late all the time, this whole week, the buses at Jurong East were late by 10 minutes.Even if he does come on time, the driver waits for 5 minutes, wonder why?

  6. I facing a big problem, waiting for bus 718.
I have waited for aprox. 1hour 30mins. Please be considerate and punctual for the timing you have noted.

    • Hi Janardhan,

We are scheduled to overhaul the entire Jurong Island Bus Service article due to the transfer of operator to Woodlands Transport effective 31 Jul 2015.

      Regards,
      PTSG@WP Admin Team

  7. Why are workers & staffs on Jurong Island deprive of bus services operated from a interchange?
Because it is not profitable? SBS decide to give up and TNC came. Now become Woodlands Transport and worse, kick all the way to the road side to board the bus at a bus stop. There’s no Q and when bus comes, all rush. It is very frustrating especially when some were there much earlier then others.
When alighting from the bus, it’s a long walk to the bus interchange/MRT station. There’s no shelter and is especially bad during raining days. All are wet.
Why LTA/JTC made such decision when much more consideration can be done.
We want to go back to a interchange.
    Thank you.

    • Hi Frustrated,

With the new Jurong Island services 715, 716 & 718, there is not enough space inside Jurong East Temp Int to accommodate all of these services. Priority for space in Jurong East Temp Int goes to SBS Transit who requires more parking space now due to the growing fleet by the Bus Service Enhancement Programme. There are a number of other suitable bus stops around the area, such as the Jurong East Private Bus Pick Up Point at Venture Ave which is closer to the MRT Station. You may wish to feedback to JTC or Woodlands Transports to change the boarding point to a bus stop nearer to the interchange.

  8. I was told the elink card not successfully tapped and have to pay cash. But when on my next tapping I found the value in my card was less by 2.20!

  9. don’t be a noob and wait at central like me. I waved to the bus but it did not stop. it just went by. the correct place to wait is at bus stop number 28061 behind westgate (go behind westgate and turn left. with reference or MRT being north)

  10. I am working at jurong Island . I used to move around Jurong Island from Seraya Avenue to Banyan due to my work requirement. So i usualy travel by bus 715, 716 and 718. The thing i can’t understand is that why the three buses can’t drop off or pick up passengers from bus stops which are along the route? According to the drivers they not allowed to stop at bus stops which are not designated for that particular bus. For example Bus 716 are not allowed to stop at bus stop designated for bus 715 although the bus stop is along the route of bus 716 exiting the Island. Because of this i have to walk about 1000 meters from bus stop near Sakra SCDF to Ayer Merbau Road but in fact there is one bus stop along Jurong Island main road just opposite Ayer Merbau Road. Bus 716 cant stop here because it’s designated for bus 715. This im talking bout the route bus leavind Jurong Island. Hope JTC can look into this matter so that the transport service in Jurong Island will be more convinient for those working in Jurong Island.

    Thanks and Regards
    Patrick

    • Hi Patrick,

Buses can only make stops at designated bus stops as they are regulated by the Public Transport Council. You may wish to write in to JTC or Woodlands Transport personally as we have no affiliation with any transport-relation companies as well as LTA.

  11. Today 27/4/16, I boarded 718 (1st trip) at Jurong Island and alight at Jurong East at 0800hrs. And upon reaching my house then I realised that I misplaced my pouch in the bus, I called Woodland Transport and the lady help me to call the 1st trip driver and he return a call to me immediately and I manage to meet up with him to collect my pouch from him. The bus driver uncle is very polite and refuse to accept any reward from me. Here by I would like say a big thanks to the bus driver uncle and the lady who help to contact the driver. Once again “Thanks” and keep up the good service👍👍👍👍👍

  12. The bust driver of 716 never stop at designated bus stop even there is a passenger waiting. [happened june 3,2016 opp oasis sakra time: 5:45Pm]
