History:

Choa Chu Kang used to have a roadside bus terminal along Choa Chu Kang Way. It was later replaced by a bus interchange built beside the MRT Station. Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange opened in 1990 and remains operational today with little modifications.

Previously operated by Singapore Bus Service (SBS), Choa Chu Kang was progressively handed over to Trans-Island Bus Service (TIBS) in late 1999 in exchange for services in Sengkang and Punggol. The handover took place in the following phases:

  • 25 Jul 1999: Service 190
  • 29 Aug 1999: Services 185, 300, 302 and 307
  • 26 Dec 1999: Services 67, 172, 175 and 188.

Service 175 is now Service 975. Service 185 was amended to the present-day 985.

Bus Services:

Feeders 300, 301, 302 and 303 used to serve the interchange. 301 and 303 were merged to form Townlink 307 (now Intratown 307). The present service 301 was introduced under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).
