Taman Jurong Bus Terminal is a roadside bus terminal catered for the introduction of Service 49. Roadside terminals are an old concept dating back to Singapore’s early history (the 1970s), until they were abolished in favor of larger regional interchanges, where more bus services brought greater connectivity. Ever since the last roadside terminals were built in the early 1980s, there were no more bring built until the construction of Taman Jurong Bus Terminal.

Together with Ghim Moh Terminal and Sims Place terminal, these three terminals are the only roadside bus terminals in Singapore, although Ghim Moh and Sims Place have survived from the 1970s.

This terminal started operations on 14th December 2013, along with the introduction of Service 49. No boarding and alighting was allowed at this terminal. With the route extension of Service 49, the terminal had its last day of operations on 21st November 2015, and ceased operations the day after when Service 49 was extended to Jurong East Interchange.

As of late November 2015, the terminal office and toilets have been locked up, with no infrastructure dismantled as of yet.

Taman Jurong Bus Terminal consisted of a single bus stop, an operator kiosk / driver rest room, and parking lots along the road.
