Service CW4S is a cross-border route connecting the Taman Ungku Tun Aminah (TUTA), Taman Sri Orkid, Lima Kedai and Gelang Patah areas within Johor Bahru with Jurong East Bus Interchange in Singapore, via the Tuas Second Link crossing. The route is one of four regular cross-border bus services operating via the Tuas Second Link, along with Service CW3, CW4 and CW6.
Second Link plying CW services, inclusive of CW4S, operate as public bus when operating in Johor Bahru sector. These buses supplement other bus services (mostly IM-prefixed services) that are available in Bukit Indah and Gelang Patah areas. This means that these buses stop at all en route bus stops along their route, and effectively serves residents of flats along Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Taman Seri Orkid, Mutiara Rini, Mutiara Mas, and Nusa Perintis. Because CW4S does not serve these residential areas from Gelang Patah towards Sutera Mall, passengers will have to alight at Gelang Patah (Nusa Perintis) and change to Bus 666 (details below, at Transfer to other bus services section).
Some buses departing CIQ Second Link may terminate at Gelang Patah rather than continue to Sutera Mall. It is advised to inform the bus drivers and ground timekeepers if one intends to head for Sutera Mall.
Due to varying traffic conditions at the Tuas Second Link, travel times and waiting times may increase significantly when jams occur. The route does not call at en-route bus stops in Singapore, providing fast connections daily between Singapore and Malaysia.
Service CW4S has unique operating hours. On Mondays to Saturdays and Singapore Public Holidays, it will only operate in the morning (Sutera Mall to Jurong East) and evening (Both directions). On Sundays, it will operate throughout the day in both directions. The following table summarizes its operating hours:

At each checkpoint on the Singapore and Malaysian side of the border, passengers will have to alight and clear customs before boarding the bus again. When travelling between Tuas CIQ Complex and Sultan Abu Bakar CIQ Complex (“CIQ 2nd Link”) in either direction, commuters may board any Causeway Link bus (Service CW3, CW4, CW4S, CW6) with a valid ticket. Commuters using the ManjaLink Card should tap their card upon entry.
With a valid ticket at Tuas Second Link, passengers travelling towards Jurong East can similarly board CW3 and CW4, or board CW6 for Boon Lay at Tuas Second Link. Alternatively, passengers heading towards other destinations in JB can transfer to other bus services at CIQ Second Link.
CW4S only operates at certain times of day. During its non-operational hours, commuters from Sutera Mall can board CW3S or SL1 from the roundabout at the mall entrance, and transfer to other services (CW3, CW4, CW6) at CIQ Second Link for Jurong East or Boon Lay. From Singapore, take CW3/CW4 from Jurong East or CW6 from Boon Lay to CIQ Second Link and transfer to CW3S or SL1 to Sutera Mall.
CW3S only operates on Mondays to Saturdays and Singapore Public Holidays. SL1 ony operates on Sundays. Their routes are similar, but SL1 has additional stops at AEON Bukit Indah.
Transfer to other bus services:
Passengers arriving from Singapore may travel for free on Causeway Link’s Service 666 from GP Sentral to Larkin Sentral. The ticket or ManjaLink card must be produced on request. The transfer point is the pair of bus stops along Jalan Gelang Patah, between Persiaran Nusa Perintis and Jalan Nusa Perintis.
Additionally, passengers using ManjaLink may tap their card upon boarding any GP-bound 666. A maximum fare of RM7.00 will be charged, whereby the passenger will then be allowed to transfer to any Singapore-bound CW buses for free at the Gelang Patah transfer point, by tapping their ManjaLink card on the reader when changing buses.
Charges section fares. ManjaLink Card payment is accepted on this bus service. Only Singapore currency is accepted when boarding the bus in Singapore, and Malaysian currency is accepted when boarding from Malaysia.

Miscellaneous Fare Information for Manjalink users
Manjalink users will be required to tap their card upon entering the bus, which includes re-boarding the bus at the various checkpoints.
As the ManjaLink card is loaded with values in MYR, for SGD fares passengers will be charged based on the prevailing exchange rate determined by Causeway Link. For example, the published ManjaLink fare for JB-bound CW3 is $4.00, and as such when ManjaLink is used, 4.00×2.98= 11.92, thereby deducting RM12.00 from the card, taking into consideration the Malaysian system of rounding cents.
